![]() I imagine the problems are largely caused by the FPS soaring into the 300+ range when not a lot is being rendered. The game is random, the fixes just help contain and limit the randomness. When I reloaded that, everything was fixed. Then, when I reloaded a save from that playthrough, everything broke. On my second playthrough, with just the mouse fix and no fps capper, I played the whole game like butter, never once running into a problem. On my first playthrough with neither the fix nor vsync on, I got no bugs until the first zero-g jump, and from then on my game was absolutely unplayable until I fixed it. ![]() Would I be able to cap it at 120 FPS without getting any of the disabled v-sync bugs? I mean, the game seems to be completely unstable. The problem is that the mouse movement still feels pretty wonku when I'm playing at 60 FPS. I did use the mouse-fix, and I did lock my FPS through my Nvidia settings. The mouse problems are caused by calculations the game runs to determine how sensitive it should be, and one of the calculations is based on the framerate. Vsync in game just locks the game to 30 FPS since it assumes you're a console. If you do that the controls are id say 95% perfect.Īnd its on 60fps so you dont feel a big difference.Originally posted by Cujo:You want this: Īnd then use a control panel (like the nvidia settings) to lock your FPS to at least 120-140, but usually 60. Then you go in dead space and disable vsync.Īfter that you set your resolution to for example: 1900 * 1080 * 60fps You go to the nividia control panel and activate vsync on dead space. but i may have a better fix for you if its ok for you to play on 60fps cap. The sensitivity is already with VSync on and the file implemented:Įven with that i have some issiues. ![]() ![]() If you are interested, if this is going to work for you at all, or to what extent, you can check out my vid here, and see for yourself. I downloaded the file and followed that manual. ![]() It solved the slow mouse problems and put me right into the 90% okey mouse speed. You also need to remember to force Vsync in your graphics driver, because if the game runs at a frame rate higher than 60. You can only make it as little a pain as possible with the aforementioned fixes. Originally posted by SserpensS:There is a file you can download and replace in the main game folder. The mouse controls in Dead Space 1 are appallingly terrible, and theres no way to completely 'fix' them per se. ![]()
